A new developer Build of Google Chrome 7.0 is now available for download from the Mountain View-based search giant. In fact, Chrome 7.0.517.0 is the second taste of the upcoming Chrome 7.0 release offered by Google through the Dev channel, since mid-August, 2010.

According to Anthony Laforge, from the Google Chrome team, early adopters testing Chrome 7.0 Dev on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X will all be able to download and try out the new Build.

At the same time, a new version of ChromeFrame was also released through the Dev channel, also up to 7.0.517.0.

With the advent of Build 7.0.517.0, Google introduces a number of changes, having also fixed bugs in the previous version of the open source browser.

In this regard, testers will notice that the search giant has dealt with issues related to visiting http://localhost in the context of different network configurations.

The bookmark code for Google Chrome 7.0.517.0 Dev also features fewer strings, an aspect of the optimizations introduced in the latest update to the Dev channel.

At the same time, Google now offers testers access to the experimental features built into the browser, via about:labs.

With about:labs, the Mountain View-search giant is allowing early adopters to easily access the bleeding-edge features it is building into Chrome.

Testers can turn on or off items from a set of experimental features through the checkboxes associated with each feature.

In this sense, early adopters can do without the command flags associated with the new experimental features in Chrome and simply use the GUI provided by about:labs.

Google updated the Dev channel for Chrome at 7.0.503.0 for Windows, Mac and Chrome Frame on August 25th, 2010.

Since then, users also received new Stable and Beta releases, the latest Build 6.0.472.55 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, made available earlier this week.
