14 DAY TRIAL // Google is offering a new beta of the Chrome web browser for Macintosh users. Labeled as 35.0.1897.8 Beta, the update deals exclusively with known crashes and minor bugs.
As usual, Karen Grünberg of the Chrome development team makes the update official on the Chrome Releases blog: “The Dev Channel has been updated to 35.0.1897.8 for Mac. This release fixes a number of crashes and other bugs. A full list of changes is available in the SVN log.”
As usual, the full changelog looks like hieroglyphs to the untrained eye, but for those of you who actually enjoy testing unfinished versions of Chrome there’s a treasure trove of information in there, so dig in.
This is the first Chrome beta in quite some time that Google is offering for a single platform, namely Mac OS X. Apparently, the issues affecting the latest beta builds were only present on the Mac, with Windows and Linux users being unaffected by whatever bugs Google has discovered.
To download Google Chrome 35 Beta, all you need is Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later, an Intel processor, and around 400MB of free disk space.
