Google Chrome has been updated to version 28.0.1500.12 for iOS platforms, adding interoperability with other Google apps, enhancements to voice search, full-screen on iPad, and more.

The new Google Chrome for iPhone and iPad includes an option to open links for YouTube, Maps, G+, and Drive in the respective applications, instead of the browser. Keep in mind that it’s only an option which you can enable or disable.

Text-to-speech is now available for all variations of English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Japanese, and Korean, and the toolbar controls are now available when using voice search at all times.

iPad users finally get a full-screen experience in this version, and for iPhone owners spending a lot of time surfing the web on a cellular connection, data usage has been reduced, while pages load faster now. Users can view data savings in Bandwidth Management settings.

Lastly, browser history is now accessible to all users. The update also includes a bunch of bug fixes to enhance stability and security.
