Google has promptly rolled out an update to its Chrome web browser for iOS platforms patching a bug that caused the application to crash on launch. The update is now live in the iTunes App Store.

Before the binary was pushed out to Apple’s digital distribution venue, Google noted in a blog post, “Chrome for iOS has been updated to 25.0.1364.124 which fixes a crash on startup for some users.”

The Mountain View search giant confirmed that the update would roll out in the App Store in a few hours, which it did. You can now download the new Google Chrome 25.0.1364.124 for your own iOS device at the link below.

People interested in reviewing the known issues with the browser are invited on the Chrome support site. As usual, customers who find new issues are encouraged to give Google some feedback.

Chrome is Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
