Google has released a new version of its Chrome web browser for iOS devices patching up some bugs affecting audio on the latest version of the iPhone.

iTunes Preview says Chrome 23.0.1271.100 for iPhone and iPad delivers “fixes for audio bugs.” However, checking with the App Store through iTunes reveals a slightly different changelog.

There, Apple (or Google, however you want to take it) reveals that Chrome 23.0.1271.100 fixes a “problem with audio routing on iPhone 5.” The update is nonetheless available to all platforms and likely includes other bug fixes too small to be worth mentioning.

Chrome 23 iOS is compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch and iPad models that can run iOS 4.3 or later. The app is also optimized for iPhone 5, allowing users to browse the web in full-screen on their new-generation Apple handsets.
