The stable Google Chrome has been updated to Google Chrome 18.0.1025.168. As is the norm at this stage of development, it's a bug fixing and security update.

Three vulnerabilities labeled as "High" risk and two labeled as "Medium," but Google only found one to be worthy of a monetary reward and paid $1,000, €755 to miaubiz, a constant contributor.

Google also took the occasion to boast about its AddressSanitizer tool which was used to find three of the security bugs fixed.

An audio bug plaguing Linux users, especially with the Flash plugin has been fixed as well in the latest release. A sync bug was also fixed. The SwiftShader software rasterizer, which enables WebGL content to run even if the GPU is not supported, is now disabled on CPUs that don't have SSE2.
