Two new Google Chrome releases are now available for download, one for end users, and the other for early adopters.

Despite being served through two different channels, the latest Chrome Stable and Beta Builds share the same version number.

Google released Chrome 13.0.782.112 Beta and Stable on August 9, 2011, just a day after it offered testers Chrome 14.0.835.25 Dev.

The Chrome 13.0 Beta and Chrome 13.0 Stable releases sharing Build version 13.0.782.112 might appear strange to those not familiar with the way in which Google is offering browser updates.

Google has recently wrapped up the development process for Chrome 13.0 and started pushing it through the Stable Channel to end users. In this regard, v.13.0.782.112 is nothing more than an update to the latest Stable release of Chrome.

At the same time, the Mountain View-based search giant is working to unveil the first Chrome 14.0 Beta Build.

However, Chrome 14.0 is not yet ready to graduate to Beta, and this is why the Beta Channel is still serving Chrome 13.0. Chrome 13.0.782.112 Beta is just a refresh and nothing more.

Both Chrome 13.0.782.112 Stable and Chrome 13.0.782.112 Beta come to offer users a patched version of Adobe Flash.

Adobe recently patched a number of security vulnerabilities in Flash, and as the technology is included into Chrome, Google also needs to update its open source browser so that customers can be protected against potential exploits or attacks.

Flash has been updated to version 10.3.181.36 in Chrome 13.0.782.112 Stable and Chrome 13.0.782.112 Beta, following the introduction of the security patches from Adobe.

Google is currently gearing up to release Chrome 14.0 Beta and Chrome 15.0 Dev to early adopters for testing. At the same time, Chromium, the open source project behind Chrome will be pushed to version 16.
