The latest Beta release of Google Chrome brings to the table fixes for three regression issues impacting the browser.

Windows, Linux and Mac OS X testers can download Chrome 11.0.696.57 from the open source browser’s Beta Channel and start testing it.

Karen Grunberg, from the Google Chrome team promises that no less than three regression issues have been dealt with in this Build.

“•REGRESSION: left property broken with position:fixed elements in RTL documents.

•REGRESSION: Bottom of window Border is drawn 1 Pixel Higher than it should be.

•REGRESSION: Chromium window goes beyond the screen for non-Aero themes.”

Regression issues are problems introduced in the development process by fixes for bugs resolved when preparing for a release. Sometimes, when building software fixing one bug ends up creating another.

Earlier yesterday, Google also released Chrome 11.0.696.50 before moving to Build 11.0.696.57, both of which served through the Beta Channel.

In Chrome 11.0.696.50 Beta, Google had dealt with problems related to Flash loading only for activated Tabs, a browser crash when users were navigating to settings from a notification popup, as well as issues with disabled input fields and disabled speech input.

At the start of this week, the Mountain View-based search giant also released Chrome 12.0.742.9 through the Dev Channel.

The most important change in Chrome 12.0.742.9 Dev is related to user privacy. Specifically, Chrome 12.0 users are now able to not only delete browser cookies, but also Adobe Flash Player Local Shared Objects (LSOs) or Flash cookies.

“As of this week’s Chrome Dev channel release, you can delete local plug-in storage data (such as Flash LSOs) from within Chrome by clicking Wrench > Tools > Clear browsing data and selecting “Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data,” revealed Bernhard Bauer, Google Software Engineer.

This is done through the NPAPI ClearSiteData API (application programing interface) already featured into Flash Player 10.3.
