Google has released two Chrome Beta releases in the past couple of days, while it’s also working to introduce the next Dev Channel update. On February 23rd, 2011, the Mountain View-based search giant updated the Beta Channel with Chrome 10.0.648.114.

Build 10.0.648.114 is supported on all platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

According to the search giant, the release is focused primarily on resolving a range of issues impacting reliability, as well as fine tuning elements of the user interface.

Just a day later, Google released Chrome 10.0.648.119 Beta, this time around only for Windows. Jason Kersey, a member of the Google Chrome team, notes that the latest Beta is set up to introduce additional fixes boosting stability compared to the previous release.

At this point in time, Chrome 10.0.648.119 Beta is only available for early adopters testing the opens source browser on Windows.

At the same time, Google continues work on the Dev Channel, and is just about ready to supply its testers with a new release.

The Mountain View-based company will release Chrome 11.0.680.0 Dev later today, judging by the way the search giant dealt with previous Dev Builds.

Among other changes, Chrome 11.0.680.0 Dev will bring to the table an updated JavaScript engine. Google revealed that the V8 engine has been kicked up a notch to version 3.1.5.0.

The previous Dev Channel update, Build 11.0.672.2, took V8 as high as version 3.1.4.0. Obviously, the versioning changes are designed to go hand in hand with the underlying optimizations that Google is constantly introducing to its open source browser.

At the time of this article only Chrome 10.0.648.119 Beta had already been released, with Chrome 11.0.680.0 Dev planned to follow shortly, so keep your eyes on Softpedia and you’re bound to catch it.
