Google has launched its official Blogger application for Apple customers wielding an iPhone or iPod touch. It’s available as a free download from the iTunes App Store and, as its name implies, it will facilitate blogging. On the go.

Over at the Google Mobile blog, Chang Kim, Product Manager, is “excited to announce the new Blogger app for iOS.”

“With the Blogger app, you can write a new blog post and publish it immediately or save it as a draft right from your iOS device,” Kim explains.

“You can also open a blog post you've been working on from your computer and continue editing it while you're on-the-go. Your blog posts are automatically synced across devices, so you’ll always have access to the latest version,” Kim himself blogs.

According to the app’s iTunes description, you can also view the list of posts and you can easily switch between blogs, if you have multiple accounts or domains.

Kim continues: “Pictures are worth a thousand words, and the Blogger app makes it easy to add photos either by choosing from the gallery or taking a new photo right within the app.”

It’s always handy to have integration with the iOS Photos app, and Blogger leverages this feature to allow you to make a cool post in seconds.

Users can also add add labels and location data so that viewers get all the details they need.

The Blogger iTunes page lists the following key features for Google’s latest addition to the Apple App Store:

Blogger app will allow you to: * Select account/blog if you have more than 1. * Include pictures from the gallery or by taking a picture directly from the app * Add labels * Add location information * Save as draft or immediately publish * View list of saved/published posts

Although the description says Blogger supports multiple languages, Kim notes that the user interface is only available in English at this time.

However, the app supports blog posts written in all languages.

Also worth noting is that Blogger does support all iOS devices, including the iPad, but it’s not universal, which means it’s only native to the small-screened devices.
