Google has just released a new version of its email client for Android devices, which packs new features and improvements that will enhance Gmail’s overall performance.

First of all, those lucky owners of Android devices powered by 4.4 KitKat platform will be pleased to know that Google has added support for printing hard copies of emails directly from within the app.

There’s also a new vacation responder feature included that allows users to create or update an auto responder message right in the Gmail application for Android.

Another important new feature is the option to add any file type as attachment to emails, including .zip files, PDFs and documents. Last but not least, Google has made some under the hood changes that will improve the performance of the app on low memory devices as part of Project Svelte.

You can now download Gmail for Android 4.7 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
