The 313.96 beta brings a fix for an issue reported with the GeForce 313.95 Beta international driver package, and because the previous version doesn't exist anymore, NVIDIA has integrated all its fixes and game highlights in the new 313.96 Beta driver.

It is targeted especially at gamers rushing to play Crysis 3 Open Beta, because it increases performance by up to 65% on some boards, and many other games by up to 28%.

Also, the driver installs the HD audio driver version 1.3.23.1, and the NVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.12.1031 that fixes a bug which made Unreal Tournament 3, Trine, and Metro 2033 not to launch.

The other fixes in this release are those that the 313.96 Beta borrowed from the previous version.

Consequently, Assassin’s Creed 3 has no bright-color corruption if you're not running Microsoft's latest operating system, while Guild Wars 2 has no corruption whatsoever, and Battlefield 3 doesn't show the “Driver not responding” message error anymore.

This release is compatible, just like the 313.95 Beta, with desktops and notebooks running on all of Microsoft's operating systems beginning with Windows XP, Vista respectively.

As usual, NVIDIA recommends that you uninstall nTune before you install this driver. If you have a notebook, you need to make sure your GPU supports the driver and back up your system configuration.
