It doesn't get any better than this! Microsoft is offering Windows Vista Enterprise edition and Office 2007 Professional as free downloads. This is by no means a singular case from the Redmond Company. Far from it in fact. Microsoft has set up a whole collection of free offerings built around its flagship products. Free versions of Windows XP Service Pack 2, and the Office 2007 System and
even Windows Vista are up for grabs, but you simply have to know where to look for.

Microsoft has been offering users a chance to try out the exclusive Windows Vista Enterprise free of charge for quite some time now. This Windows Vista edition is normally reserved for the company's Software Assurance customers and available via volume licensing. But Enterprise is not enough. Microsoft has built upon the initial download and is delivering an evolved variant. The Microsoft Office 2007 Professional VHD will enable users to test drive not only Windows Vista Enterprise but also Office 2007 Professional.

"This VHD contains both the 30 day edition of Windows Vista Enterprise Edition and an evaluation of Office 2007 Professional which includes Publisher, Excel, Outlook, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Word. See how with these new platforms can simplify how people work together, find information and improve business insight, help protect and manage content, and reduce IT costs and improve security. Test drive today to experience how Windows Vista and Office 2007 work better together," reads a fragment of the VHD's description.

The virtual hard disk image of Vista Enterprise and Office 2007 Professional is supported on Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista and Windows XP, and it requires Virtual PC 2007 or Virtual Server. "In addition to the System Requirements for the virtualization product, you will need additional disk and memory resources for running the virtual machine. This VHD is pre-configured to use approximately 10GB of hard disk space and approximately 768MB of memory," Microsoft added.

The Microsoft Office 2007 Professional VHD is available for download here.
