Or watch them online on Channel9, whichever you prefer

Developers had to pay good money in order to attend BUILD and for a week be at the center of the Windows 8 universe.

But those that did not get to set foot inside the Anaheim Convention Center can still access the content shared by Microsoft at its recent Windows 8-centric event.

Visiting BuildWindows.com, the conference’s official website, now allows users to explore a variety of resources, five of which highlighted right on the home page: Keynotes from Day 1, Keynotes from Day 2, 8 traits of great Metro Style apps, Platform for Metro style apps, and tools for building metro style apps.

The Sessions link at the top of the page will take visitors to a section of Channel9 dedicated entirely to BUILD.

Sessions can be displayed either in an exhaustive list, or filtered according to specific terms, tags, speakers, or the day in which they were presented.

Developers can also easily see which are the top rated sessions from BUILD or the most viewed ones.

Of course, all BUILD session videos can be watched online, but at the same time, the content is also available for download in a variety of formats, including MP4, WMV, WMA, and MP3.

One thing that early adopters won’t be able to download is the Samsung Windows 8 Developer Preview PC that Microsoft offered to all attendees.

Still, they can get the next best thing, namely a preview of Windows 8. Windows 8 Developer Preview Build 8102 Milestone 3 (M3) has been available for download since late September 13, 2011, the first day of BUILD.

If users did miss BUILD, I recommend watching the two keynotes ahead of anything else, because they’re designed to provide an overview of Windows 8 and Windows Server 8.

Steven Sinofsky, Chris Jones, Antoine Leblonde, Mike Angiulo, and Julie Larson-Green were among those that took the stage to talk about Windows 8 client on September 13.

Scott Guthrie, Jeff Sandquist, John Shewchuk, Jason Zander, Bryon Surace, Satya Nadella, Dan Fernandez discussed Windows Server 8 the next day, with a surprise appearance by Steve Ballmer at the end.
