14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has been quite generous with Windows 7 users this winter, providing them with a range of new customization content for their desktops to celebrate the holidays and the season.
One illustrative example in this regard is the Powder Power theme pack offered to customers running Windows Vista’s successors.
The new theme packs together an impressive collection of imagery related to two of the most popular snow sports.
“Catch air with the dramatic mountain skiing and snowboarding photos in this Windows 7 theme,” reads the theme’s description.
No less than eight wallpapers have been packed into the Powder Power theme, and users will be able to see previews of the images via the screenshots included at the bottom of this article.
The views are indeed amazing, and the theme pack is bound to bring some joy to Windows 7 users, especially those that know their way around a few ski resorts, or a snowboarding slope.
The Powder Power, or Snow Sports, whichever you prefer, theme can be downloaded from the Windows Personalization Gallery free of charge and installed on Windows 7.
As a reminder, theme pack files function much in the same manner as archives, which means that their contents can be easily extracted, allowing all users, irrespective of the operating system they might be running to have any of the eight wallpapers set as their desktop background image.
Of course, only customers running Windows 7 will be able to enjoy the Powder Power wallpapers as a background slideshow, and the personalization settings for Windows Aero.
And just in case that users look out the window and decide it’s not “wintery” enough for them, I’d like to remind them that Microsoft has already been offering a Winter theme pack for Windows 7 since the end of 2010, which is still available.
