It’s that time of the year again. And fact is that this year, just as it was the case with the precedent, end users can start celebrating Saint Valentine's Day with their Windows 7 desktops. Microsoft has updated the Windows Personalization Gallery with a new theme pack containing imagery dedicated to the upcoming celebration on February 14th, 2011.

And why not add a Windows 7 theme to the list of flowers, confectionary, greeting cards, and anything else that you use to express the affection for your loved one?

Obviously, users should not expect the new Lovebirds theme to be all that masculine, but then again, Valentine’s day is a celebration of the fairer sex more than anything else, so take a wild guess about the intended audience of this theme pack.

“Love is a finely feathered thing, in this free Windows 7 theme featuring shadowbox-style lovebirds. Download it in time for Valentine's Day,” reads the description of the Lovebirds theme.

Check out the screenshots included at the bottom of this article to get an idea of the desktop backgrounds packaged in the theme before you download it.

And remember that actually grabbing it from the Windows Personalization Gallery doesn’t cost you a single cent since all theme packs are offered for free.

A word of advice however, it would be best for you to spend a tad more on the gift for your loved one for Valentine’s day, don’t think for a second that a free theme will be sufficient. It won’t be.

Softpedia users might remember that a year ago the software giant shared the first Valentine’s day theme pack for Windows 7, a download which continues to be available even at the time of this article, in case you missed its initial release.

The Windows 7 Lovebirds theme is available for download here.
