Developer Meebz has created a cool iPhone theme featuring Grand Theft Auto characters, and a slew of GTA IV-styled icons for iPhone owners and fans of the series. All you need is an iPhone and you're good to download this theme right here, right now.

According to Meebz, Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition is a beautiful iPhone theme that includes Custom UISounds, Wallpaper, Lock Background, SMSWallpaper, Icons, Edge Icons, Sliders, Custom Slider Text, Custom GTA IV Battery and much more. Requirements include an iPhone.

“I had a lot of ideas for the battery and ended up with the Liberty City Police Department Badge as the final design,” Meebz claims. “I worked with the bean machine, zit (song finder), different radio stations and just felt that the badge would be unique and useful enough,” the developer writes on his web site. He also encourages fans to request other app icons to be added to the next update. Current requests include iRealSMS; Swirley MMS; Google; ITN; Categories; BossPrefs; Palringo; Games; Apps; Snapture; WunderRadio; My Football; Remote.

Developed by Rockstar North and set in Liberty City, the latest installment in the successful, yet controversial Grand Theft Auto series, GTA IV features a painstakingly detailed and life-like city for players to explore; a rich, immersive narrative experience; an original soundtrack highlighting the cultural eclecticism of Liberty City; and newly-expanded multiplayer experience.

GTA IV is available for the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the PC, with no installment planned on Macintosh or iPhone, although the Nintendo DS has been blessed with a GTA spinoff. The latest release in the controversial Grand Theft Auto series has been recommended by 72% of users on the UK's leading reviewers, despite widespread criticism about the level of violence in the game. The release prompted a flurry of news reports as stories of shoppers being mugged and attacked by those desperate to get their hands on the long-awaited game broke out. Paul Nadin, founder of ReviewCentre.com, said that reviewers were not complaining about the level of violence.
