Electronic Arts, through its EA Sports label, has just deployed the official demo for its upcoming football (soccer) simulator, FIFA 12, on the PC and Xbox 360, while the PlayStation 3 edition is set to come out tomorrow.

EA's FIFA series has been with us for quite some time, providing year after year one of the most impressive football simulations out there, alongside its traditional rival, the PES franchise from Konami.

Now, after the Japanese company deployed the first of two demos for PES 2012 last month, EA has now released the official demo for FIFA 12 on platforms like the PC, via various digital distribution outlets, and on the Xbox 360, via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Meanwhile, a PlayStation 3 version set to arrive tomorrow, for North American users, and on September 15, for European ones, via the console's PlayStation Store.

The FIFA 12 demo includes six teams that can be tried out: Arsenal, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Marseilles and Milan, while just one stadium is packed in, Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, with Day and Dry versions available.

Each match lasts six minutes in total, with two three minute halves. The demo includes a variety of tutorials that showcase some of the all-new features included in FIFA 12, including the new tackling system, which is now much more realistic via the special Player Impact Engine, the intelligent defensive AI, or the updated Precision Dribbling system that allows gamers enhanced controls over their virtual players and the ball.

A new Pro Player Intelligence system is also going to be highlighted by the demo, allowing for a more natural behavior for the other players on the pitch, not just the one being actively controlled by the user.

You can download the FIFA 12 demo on PC right now from Softpedia.
