Customers looking to get an insight into the performance problems associated with SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008 now have a solution from
DBSophic to streamline the analysis of database issues. DBSophic is offering its Trace Analyzer tool completely free of charge, promising that it will streamline the analysis process of performance issues for the two supported releases of Microsoft's data platform. Essentially, the Trace Analyzer tool is capable of helping consumers identify problem
batches and parameter value sets that are sucking resources and impacting database speed.
"The new product is aimed at assisting DBA professionals in analyzing database transactions in order to help them better monitor and improve the performance of their applications," explained Hagi Erez, CEO of DBSophic. "The Trace Analyzer tool can save them a lot of time and effort, while being completely free of charge. DBSophic is committed to contribute to the IT community."
Designed for professionals, namely database administrators, DBSophic's Trace Analyzer is set up to simplify the analysis of trace events. In this regard, the tool can enable customers to evaluate trace events that are spread across multiple trace files and trace tables. Trace Analyzer will deliver a comprehensive perspective over the total resource consumption associated with the trace events identified. DBSophic notes that it only takes the tool minutes to produce results involving the trace events analyzed, which are de-parameterized and grouped in a hierarchy in accordance with specific resource consumption.
"The Trace Analyzer eliminates the need to read hundreds of thousands of trace file events, thus saving time and resources," added DBSophic CTO Ami Levin. "Moreover, it allows users to determine immediately which batches are overloading their servers, and provides an overall yet detailed view providing IT managers with the opportunity to see the whole picture."
