Blizzard has just offered fans a blast from the past by giving away free copies of two of its classic games, The Lost Vikings and Rock N' Roll Racing, with no strings attached.

Blizzard, as a games developer, has a rich history. It was known in the early stages as Silicon and Synapse and it made different titles for consoles of the time, like the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

In the 1990s, however, it soon started specializing in PC games, debuting Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo, and changed its named to the company millions of fans love even today.

In order to share with new people some of the games it made in those early days, the studio has just revealed that The Lost Vikings and Rock N' Roll Racing are now available as completely free downloads and don't even require a Battle.net account or client to install.

In case you're unfamiliar with them, The Lost Vikings was a 2D platformer in which players needed to control a group of time-traveling Vikings and solve all sorts of puzzles using their different, custom abilities.

Rock N' Roll Racing was a combat racing experience and focused on intense action instead of simulator mechanics, for example.

Both titles have been updated to run on modern Windows-based PC configurations and you shouldn't encounter any problems with them.
