Foursquare says to look out for check-in highlights under your friends' check-ins, try some recently opened places nearby using the new check-in screen, as well as to “search for 'peppermint' or 'cider' for some holiday treats.” These are just examples, of course.
The social networking app has over 25 million users at the moment. For those who aren’t very familiar with the service, Foursquare lets you share and record the places you visit, get personalized recommendations and deals, search for literally anything, and discover tips and lists from local experts, brands, and even celebrities.
Requirements include iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), or iPad and iOS 5.0. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
