14 DAY TRIAL // Foursquare 6.2.1 is out for avid users of the social networking service on iPhone and iPod touch with under-the-hood improvements to Explore and Search.
“We've made a bunch of under-the-hood improvements to Explore, including better spell correction and search suggestions,” says Foursquare Labs Inc.
Explore gets new filters so you can narrow down your searches to the most specific things you can imagine, such as “a cheap, friend-approved brunch spot that you haven't tried yet,” according to one example provided by the developers.
The search bar now lets you filter by “price,” “specials,” “distance,” “haven't been,” or “open now,” according to the release notes.
Foursquare is compatible with iOS 5.0, as well as newer versions of the operating system, and works with most iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models.
