For everyone out there who was waiting for some more information or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. content this could be great news. A new cinematic video of the game has come our way and we are more than delighted to make it available to you for download. You can get the new video by clicking HERE.

If you don't know what S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is, note that this is a one of a kind first-person shooter developed by Ukrainian game studio GSC Game World. The game depicts actions that take place in an alternative reality, where a second disaster occurs at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. You probably know the first Chernobyl incident, which took place back in 1986, when an explosion at the power plant caused a lot of radiation which spread throughout the entire world.

The game, co-developed by THQ, is powered by a new engine called "X-Ray". In this game, players are embodied by a "Stalker", which is some sort of an illegal explorer, which gathers artifacts from "The Zone"-area surrounding what once was the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

This second explosion of the nuclear plant takes place in April 12 of 2006, and the radiation that breaks out influences the flora and fauna of the entire area. About four years pass, and this entire time "The Zone" is held in quarantine by the military.

As players take the role of "Stalkers", which are some sort of thieves, they have to enter "The Zone" undetected by the military in order to gather artifacts wanted by certain shady groups. The military which protects the area doesn't like trespassers and players have to avoid any military troops so that they don't get captured. Furthermore they have to watch out for mutants and even competing Stalkers.

A few things bug me about this video. First of all, we haven't heard anything about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in quite some time, 8 or 9 months if I'm not mistaken. Secondly, the video is in German and announces a March 2007 release date. I suppose this release date is for Germany, so will the game be released only there? Will the rest of the world get a chance to experience it?
