Now take an empty USB drive and copy on it the “upgrade.msd” file that is found in the downloadable zip archive. Power on the BDP, connect the flash drive, and from the product’s menu go to Settings → Support → Software Update → Update Now.
At this point, the device will search for the upgrade file on the USB, and when it founds it, a pop-up request will appear, through which you will confirm that you want to update the device’s firmware – when the process is complete, the BDP will restart.
