Amped Wireless has added a new long-range device to its product lineup, namely the APA20 access point, which can deliver up to an astonishing 8000 square foot (approximately 743 square meters) of coverage.

Along with the device, the producer has also made its first firmware developed for this 802.11ac access point available, which is basically the one that will be originally installed on the APA20.

Therefore, firmware 1.0 doesn’t have any changelog whatsoever, the version already being optimized for the device. However, what can I show you is how to apply it without any problems.

So, before you start the process, it’s always a good idea to save your current configuration from the Save/Reload Settings page. If checked, access the web menu, and go to More Settings → Management → Upgrade Firmware → Choose File.

Now, browse and select the firmware file (.bin) located within the downloadable archive, and click the “Upload” button. At this point, the AP will reboot and start the installation process, and when it completes, the page will refresh – and that’s all.

That being said, follow the link below, click on the download button, and get the original firmware for your APA20 access point.
