Mozilla Firefox 8.0 Stable has just been officially announced, with features touted to make browsing easier. The most prominent additions are the integrated Twitter search, on-demand tab loading and disabling the installation of third party add-ons without the user’s consent.

The heavy artillery in this edition of the browser is represented by support for Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS), which permits web developers to load WebGL textures from cross-domain images. Put into simpler terms, you will be able to experience the hardware-accelerated 3D graphics without the need of third party software.

All in all there is no big thing available in this release of the web browser, as all these changes have already been roughly implemented in the first beta of the app. However, everything seems to be smoother and more stable.
