Download Firefox 3.6.9 Beta and Firefox 3.5.12 Beta

Mozilla has made available for download a taste of the upcoming updates for Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 3.5.

Early adopters can now grab the Candidate Builds of Firefox 3.6.9 and Firefox 3.5.12 and test drive the releases in parallel with the latest Beta development milestone of Firefox 4.0.

For the time being, the beta Builds of Firefox 3.6.9 and Firefox 3.5.12 are all that testers will be getting, with the actual releases planned for the first half of September.

“v.3.6.9 Beta (Build 1), released August 26th, 2010,” Mozilla noted. “Firefox 3.6.9 fixes the following issues found in previous versions of Firefox 3.6: fixed several security issues; fixed several stability issues.”

Similarly, Mozilla revealed that “v.3.5.12 Beta (Build 1), released August 26th, 2010. (…) Firefox 3.5.12 fixes the following issues found in previous versions of Firefox 3.5: fixed several security issues; fixed several stability issues.”

Obviously, both Firefox 3.6.9 and Firefox 3.5.12 will be nothing more than standard stability and security updates.

Earlier this week, Mozilla also made available for download the fourth Beta of Firefox 4.0, continuing to push the browser feature with the introduction of new features.

Firefox 4.0 Beta 4 sports such new additions as Panorama and Sync enable by default, and continues to be available for download.

Per Mozilla’s current plans, Firefox 3.6.9 and Firefox 3.5.12 will be released on September 7th, 2010.

“We now have a Firefox 3.6.9 Release Candidate available for testing. Note that this builds are release candidates and is intended for pre-release testing. We would like your help in testing the release candidate and identifying any possible regressions or issues,” revealed Mozilla’s Carsten Book.

“Please hammer on these builds mercilessly to make sure that things work well! If you notice things that worked in previous Firefox 3.6.8 and does not work in this release, we would like to know about it *right away*,” Book added.
