The highly acclaimed development studio Square Enix has released a new version of its award-winning Final Fantasy III for iPhone and iPad crushing some bugs relating to the Japanese keyboard input.
Released in 1990, Final Fantasy III is the first game in the RPG series to make a splash in the gaming industry. The game was recently ported to iOS to the delight of nostalgic gamers worldwide.
And for its $16.99/€14.99 price tag customers sure are disappointed. Square is beginning to hear the cries and has responded to one issue with a bug-fix release.
In Final Fantasy III version 1.5.0, available immediately from the App Store, “using the Japanese language keyboard to input your character name no longer causes the game to crash in iOS 6.”
Owners of new Apple gear, like the iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch, remain disgruntled at the fact that Final Fantasy III doesn’t display full-screen on their devices. iCloud support is also a burning request. Hopefully Square will release a new update shortly.
