Download Facebook Messenger 1.5 for iOS 5

Adding support for Apple’s new iOS 5 and the ability to see who’s online and who’s mobile, a new version of the Facebook Messenger iOS application has been released in the iTunes App Store.

As its name implies, Facebook Messenger lets you send messages instantly to other friends who have the app installed on their handset. It doesn’t necessarily have to be another iPhone, as the app works cross platform.

Version 1.5 not only brings the ability to see who's online and who's mobile, it also lets you see when the other person is typing, and it offers a faster way to compose new messages to the people you message most.

Various performance improvements have been carried out as well. The app is now supported in 12 additional languages. The system requirements haven't changed, despite the added support for iOS 5.
