Evernote has announced a completely redesigned version of its Hello application for iPhone and iPad “to make it easier to remember everyone you meet.”

A new feature to scan business cards and instantly convert them into Hello Contacts is now available. The card is saved with information and pictures from LinkedIn and Facebook.

For a limited time, everyone gets to scan an unlimited number of cards. In the future, there will be a cap on this feature.

You can now use Hello Connect audio tones to exchange information with nearby users. The new integration with LinkedIn and Facebook will also prove helpful, along with richer contact information and related notes from Evernote.

The redesigned homescreen timeline now groups people by time and location, and the app will automatically pull contact information from social networks and your own address book. It also goes the other way around – Hello pushes new contacts into your address book.
