Rocking one of the new iPhone 5s and tired of Apple’s Music (iPod) application? Download Ecoute 1.1 by PixiApps. It’s got a spanking new interface that supports the bigger screens of the iPhone 5 and the fifth-gen iPod touch, as well as tons of other tweaks and enhancements.

Updated recently for the all-new Apple devices with four-inch screens, Ecoute 1.1 adds the ability to hide non-local tracks, as well as to differentiate local & cloud tracks.

It does Facebook sharing now, and shows a handy rating in player view.

You can now shuffle by album and use a left-handed mode in case you “think different(ly).” And German users will be glad to find that the app now displays in their language. Some minor improvements round up the changelog.

PixiApps says Facebook sharing and iTunes Match-related functionality requires iOS 6, though the app still runs on iOS 5.
