ESCORT Inc., a company specializing in radar detection solutions, has rolled out version 2.0 of its Escort Live application for iPhone and iPad, which offers real-time ticket protection.

By downloading the new Escort Live 2.0 ticket protection app, drivers immediately gain access to a slice of the live alert network, but only subscribers to the service get the full scoop.

However, a subscription is not required for what’s new in version 2.0, such as new Simple Alerts optimized for the road, and the ability to register as an open user without any radar detector. In-app purchases now allow users to subscribe to Escort Live Service.

The update also brings improvements to the Live Alert reporting. According to the release notes, some minor bug fixes made their way into this release as well.

Commenting on their new release, John Larson, the company's president and CEO, said, “We are excited about the truly revolutionary level of protection that Escort Live has brought to radar detector consumers and to the category.”

“Our industry acclaimed technology connects all of our radar detector users in real-time allowing them to share ticket threats with others,” Larson continued. “Now, we have opened up that opportunity to millions more iPhone and Android users inviting them to join in a free element of these alerts with the release of Escort Live Version 2.0.”

“With one touch of a button, you can download Escort Live and turn your smartphone (iOS or Android) into a radar detector by joining Escort Nation,” Larson added.

The company is showing off both the Escort Live ticket protection app and its windshield mount detectors at the New York City CEA Lineshow starting today, June 27, 10 – 5:30 pm, through June 28, 10 am – 3 pm at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125th West 18th ST).
