Download Duke Nukem Forever for Mac OS X

Aspyr Media has confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever is now available for Mac OS X. Gamers can pick up Duke at GameAgent through Aspyr, or via Steam, Valve Software’s distribution and multiplayer gaming platform for Macintosh and Windows.

The official Steam description says, “Cocked, loaded and ready for action, Duke delivers epic ass-kicking, massive weapons, giant explosions and pure unadulterated fun!”

“Put on your shades and step into the boots of Duke Nukem. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can’t stop this epic hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it.”

Duke Nukem Forever has been in development for over a decade, but the gaming community never lost faith that their favorite hero would come back with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, great multiplayer modes, and hilarious one-liners.

As the story goes, the Alien invaders are stealing Earth’s women. They’re going after the hot ones too, and they’re depleting the hero’s beer stash while at it.

Well, you can imagine Duke isn’t too pleased with the situation. “Time to bring the pain!”, he says.

Gearbox Software lists these key features for Duke fans:

· Bust a Gut: Duke pulls no punches. Duke’s constant stream of hilarious one-liners throughout the game make this an out loud good time.
· World Interactivity: Spend as much time as you want shooting hoops, lifting weights, playing pinball, pool, air hockey, and slots.
· Scale & Variety: Packed with explosive FPS action, outlandish settings, driving, and puzzle solving — gamers will never tire of the endless FUN.
· Multiplayer Like No Other: Classic modes are re-made with a Duke twist. Shrink, squash, freeze and shatter your opponents, or just frag them with a rocket.

Although DNF has received mixed reviews since its release on Windows, true fans of the franchise will not want to miss out on the opportunity to see how the game has evolved.
