Testing auto-update feature, new splash screen strings

The latest revision of Dropbox Experimental has been released recently, bringing to the table a set of changes designed to improve its functionality and performance.

At the top of the list of modifications there is the ability to upload files larger than 4GB to Windows XP. Also, the new build should come with better Unicode handling and new splash screen strings.

The developer also tested the auto-update feature and initially provided no download link for Dropbox Experimental 1.3.23. The application should automatically update itself after synchronizing a file. This test was reserved for the experimental build only.

However, one issue the development team is aware of is that the auto-play dialog may not pop up with the new release. Fixing this is pretty important because this is the option most commonly used to upload media files to Dropbox.
