Dropbox updated their Android application several days ago with new features and UI improvements.

Today, developers announced that Android enthusiasts who would like to test some of the features to be included in the future update could do so by downloading the latest beta version.

The beta version of Dropbox includes notifications for shared folder invites and Dropbox links shared through website.

However, users should keep in mind they will have to be logged into a Google account on their smartphones in order to receive notifications. As usual, Android users who install the beta version are strongly advised to offer feedback via developer’s forum.

Dropbox beta 2.3.0.4 is now available for download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
