A fresh Dropbox build is available for download, not for the user who prefers to be on the safe side, but for the avid tester looking for issues that need to be fixed.
Dropbox 2.5.40 Experimental is out with fixes for all supported platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux), but don't get your hopes up for stability. This is still an experimental build, mind you.
On the Mac, it addresses a bug with the meta installer, and an issue where the preferences pane doesn’t work before linking the computer.
For all platforms, 2.5.40 resolves a problem that prevented Selective Sync from displaying un-synced folders in some instances, resolves splash screen bugs, and includes other minor fixes.
If you’re a new user, I suggest you avoid any Experimental releases and just go straight for the latest stable version of Dropbox (2.4.8 at the time of writing).
