Gigabyte has just announced the availability of two new motherboards based on AMD’s AM1 chipset, namely the GA-AM1M-S2P and GA-AM1M-S2H devices, and along with this release, the producer has outed the appropriate drivers as well.

Most of the downloadable files are compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows XP, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

Even though other OSes might be suitable as well, we do not recommend installing any package on platforms other than the ones specified in the description page of each driver.

In order to be clear, the boards benefit from an audio driver version 6.0.1.7106 provided by Realtek, an Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) package version 5.10.0.5010 from Microsoft, and two chipset executables (version 13.25 and 9.0.300).

In addition to that, Realtek has also developed the compatible Ethernet drivers version 5.792 (XP), 7.049 (Windows 7), and 8.018 (Windows 8 and 8.1), while AMD brought 3 AHCI preinstall packages targeted at the latest Windows operating systems.

Moreover, each of the new boards benefits from an initial BIOS release, namely version F1, which can be useful in the event where future updates turn up faulty.

As for installing the packages (aside from the BIOS), simply download each driver, run the executable, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete installation. Also, make sure to perform a system restart after each update to ensure that all changes take effect.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your motherboard, download all drivers suitable for the unit’s OS, and enjoy your newly updated AM1 device.
