Piriform has just launched a new version for their defragmenting solution, Defraggler. The new release of the application improves some of the old features, adds a new one and fixes a set of issues.

The newly added feature allows estimation of remaining time for completing the currently running defragmenting job.

Improvements deal with formatting of Smart data, which can now be copied, increased accuracy for SSD detection and usability in “Options” window.

On the same note, performance on Windows 8 has also been tackled with positive results, and there is improved Unicode support for export file list (benchmarking details can also be included in this list).

One of the issues eliminated in Defraggler 2.09 refers to a bug that caused the Benchmark button to simply disappear. Users should no longer experience this problem. The complete set of changes is available on this page.
