Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH has released Cubasis 1.1, a new version of the company’s multitouch sequencer for the iPad which adds audio engine improvements, support for Audiobus, and several bug fixes.

Cubasis lets music aficionados record, edit and mix tracks in CD audio quality. It provides Key and Sample Editors, and includes a mixer and audio effects for production-ready results.

Version 1.1 is out in the App Store this week with Audiobus support, audio engine improvements, and fixes for several issues reported by the user base.

Sebastian Dittmann, Audiobus developer, says “Cubasis now boasts one of the best implementations of Audiobus known to me.”

The application is only available for iPads that are capable of running iOS 5.1. To export projects to the desktop Cubase software, users will require Cubase 7/6.5, Cubase Artist 7/6.5, or Cubase LE AI Elements 6.
