Ukraine-based MacPaw has released CleanMyMac 2.2.0, a major new update for users of the popular cleaning utility for Macintosh compeers.
CleanMyMac 2.2.0 offers “significantly improved overall compatibility with OS X Mavericks,” according to its creators.
A Halloween holiday theme has been added for this release, but don’t worry because it’s only temporary. As soon as Halloween passes, so will the spooky background.
An all-new removal method for preference files is available, and the app now removes Intego products more efficiently. Intego makes a well known range of antivirus software for Macs.
Software update cleanup support is now available for Apple’s newest iDevices (iPhone 5c/5s, iPad Air/Mini), and the rest of the 2.2.0 update is filled with tweaks and bug fixes.
These include: improved support for application suites uninstallation; a sound for cleanup completion; minor interface improvements; and fixes for all known crashes.
