MacPaw is out with a new version of CleanMyMac 2, the powerful maintenance utility for OS X users. One notable change includes decreased scanning time for Universal Binary packages.

CleanMyMac 2.0.5 brings improved folder names localizations for all paths, as well as significantly decreased Universal Binaries scanning time.

All known issues related to application icons displaying in scan results have been addressed, and one crash related to 'Reveal in Finder' functionality is now fixed. Several minor fixes and improvements are also included in this release.

CleanMyMac 2 is one of the best utilities of its kind, having amassed a 4/5 score in Softpedia’s testing. While the tool is certainly not the cheapest, it is one of the few cleaning apps that really makes a difference (i.e. de-clutters and speeds up your Mac).

The software runs on OS X 10.7 Lion and newer versions, and requires just 50MB of space for installation.
