An updated flavor of the Chrome browser is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 36.0.1985.135.

The new application iteration was meant to resolve an issue that prevented pages from loading properly, thus affecting the user experience with it.

At the same time, the update comes with a security fix, as Google explains in a blog post, “High CVE-2014-3166: Information disclosure in SPDY. Credit to Antoine Delignat-Lavaud.”

The new Chrome 36.0.1985.135 for Android has been already released in the Google Play store, and users should head to the official portal in order to download and install it. Keep in mind that it is available only for devices running under Android 4.0 and up.

The new update arrives on Android devices only a few days after the Chrome Beta browser version was refreshed with a series of new features, including improved animation for the overflow menu and completion arrows in the address bar.

These enhancements, along with various other improvements, new features and fixes, are expected to become available in the stable version of Chrome for Android as well, which should be released as version 37. However, no specific info on when exactly that should happen has been provided as of now.
