An updated flavor of the Chrome application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices out there, namely version 36.0.1985.122 (which is, in fact, the stable release of Chrome 36 for Android).

The new app iteration was made available with a variety of new features and enhancements inside, including improved text rendering on non-mobile optimized sites.

At the same time, the app comes with a variety of bug fixes and performance improvements, thus being capable of providing users with a much better experience than before.

According to Google, Android users who update to the newer version of the application will also see that doodles have returned to the new tab page.

The new version of Chrome for Android also arrives on devices with some security fixes, including one for Omnibox URL Spoofing (discovered by Keita Haga) and another one for same origin policy bypass (found by Håvard Molland from Opera).

Those of you who would like to learn more info on the changes included in the new mobile browser iteration should head over to the SVN revision log.

The updated flavor of Chrome for Android is available for download through the Google Play store. The browser is compatible with all devices running under Android 4.0 and up.
