Following a series of updates in the beta channel, the Google Chrome browser for Android devices has finally seen an update for the flavor as well, now up for grabs as version 25.0.1364.123.

The updated release brings along better scrolling performance, along with better responsiveness when pinch-zooming on pages.

There are also faster interactive pages for users to enjoy, thanks to the latest version of the V8 JavaScript engine, as well as expanded support for HTML5 features.

Following the update to the new version, audio will continue to play while Chrome is in the background. Google also notes that “audio playing in Chrome will now pause when the phone is in use. This requires an additional permission.”
