Activision has released a new content update for players of Call of Duty: Strike Team on iOS devices, delivering a new campaign called Global Conflict, where gamers must take command of the battle against Cordis Die.

Call of Duty: Strike Team is the number one app in over 30 countries, according to Activision Publishing, all thanks to the fans who rated the app in iTunes.

As a token of their appreciation, Activision is launching Call of Duty: Strike Team 1.3.0, a new installment in the first-person-shooter series featuring a new game mode called Global Conflict.

“Take global command of the battle against Cordis Die by being ready to deploy your Strike Team quickly to anywhere in the world… from the mountains of Afghanistan to the rooftops of Kowloon! This new mode includes a raft of new features such as new mission objectives, leagues and weekly rewards,” says Activision.

Other highlights in this release include Domination Mode, where you need to capture and hold key checkpoints to earn tokens and multipliers, a new (unlockable) combat zone accessible when players reach XP level 16, and new weapons (including sub-machine guns).

Call of Duty: Strike Team is part of Activision’s holiday sale, which allows avid fans of the company’s titles to save 50% or more on some of its top mobile games from until early January.

These titles include Call of Duty: Strike Team, Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, Skylanders Battlegrounds, Skylanders Cloud Patrol, and Guitar Hero. Right now, iOS gamers can download Call of Duty: Strike Team for $2.99 / €2.69.

Activision asks gamers to note that “Call of Duty: Strike Team is ONLY compatible with and optimized for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), and iPod touch (5th generation).” The game requires iOS 6.0 (or newer) to run.
