Activision, together with developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, has just deployed Title Update number 8 for the massively popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 first person shooter on the Xbox 360 platform, while the PS3 edition is set to receive it later this week.

It’s been a busy week for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players on the Xbox 360, as those who had premium Call of Duty Elite subscriptions were able to get two new downloadable maps for the game’s multiplayer mode.

After the release of these two ‘content drops’, Activision has now deployed a fresh patch for the game, in the form of Title Update 8.

Quite a lot of things are addressed by this patch, including issues with the host disadvantage system, the theater or the networking systems. Plenty of weapons were also re-balanced, with some seeing drastic decreases in power while others saw their abilities augmented. Check out the list below for all the changes brought forth by title update 8 to Modern Warfare 3.

Activision mentions that the PlayStation 3 edition of the patch is currently in testing with Sony and will be released as soon as possible for Modern Warfare 3 on that platform.

There’s no word on when the update will also appear for the PC version of the game, so expect more news in the near future.
