After last week’s release of version 1.0, the developers behind Calibre rolled out a new update, to build 1.1. As expected, the list of new features is less consistent than in the previous version, but there is a hefty sum of fixes.

The HTML metadata parser has been re-written in order to make it faster and more reliable while, in the case of book list, unsorted columns are organized according to the last applied sort method, and not in ascending order.

The bug fixes present include mostly regressions from version 1.0 and address glitches such as slow Search and Replace in the bulk edit metadata screen, incorrect sorting and searching on some composite columns or failure to prevent the moving of libraries inside the program.

Additionally, the developer fixed the problems with the error that popped up when trying to set values for tags with a repeated item but in a different case. You can check the full list of modifications on this page.
