14 DAY TRIAL // A new update emerged today for Piriform’s CCleaner, which increments the version number to 4.0.5. Apart from adding cleaning routines for new software, the new release also includes improvements touching on the functionality of the program.
The developer informs that CCleaner 4.0.5 has support for Windows Server 2012 R2 Preview and it includes cleaning for Windows Event Log.
As for the list of programs currently supported by the application, it got larger and now features the following titles, as well: Adobe Premier Pro CC, OpenOffice 4, CuteFTP 9, and Directory Opus 10.
The new CCleaner comes with improved behavior when removing system restore points and better cleaning of the last download location under Windows XP. Also, the developer enhanced the keyboard navigation for the file finder function and the cleaning routines for Foxit Phantom PDF and QuickTime.
In the Professional version, the privacy data in Internet Explorer 11 is cleaned more thoroughly and there are improvements for the time interval options for system monitoring.
