An updated version of the Blaq application is now available for download for the owners of BlackBerry 10 smartphones out there, namely version 1.3.1.

The update comes with a series of bug fixes packed inside, aimed at resolving some of the issues that build 1.3 of the application caused when put up for grabs a few days ago.

The issues were not caused by the software itself, but were the result of Twitter rolling out a mandate on SSL for all API calls, which ended up breaking the follow button, DMs, lists, and more in Blaq.

The team over at Kisai Labs unveiled that the new version of the software should resolve all these issues, a post on N4BB reads.

However, they do note that they are still investigating problems with BlackBerry Hub integration that some users are currently reporting.

“We’re currently investigating issues with BlackBerry Hub integration. BlackBerry Hub integration issues (duplicate entries) seem to be related to users running on unreleased or old versions of BlackBerry 10.2,” the team reportedly said.

“Lack of notifications are due to a failure of the application to upgrade the push handler to the background service that has been introduced in 1.3.”

Users who are affected by the issue are encouraged to delete the application and reinstall it in order to resolve the problem. However, the dev also notes that it is working together with BlackBerry to determine the cause of these problems and resolve them.

“If you see an entry for Blaq in hub but you aren’t receiving any notifications, try deleting and reinstalling the app. You do not have to pay for it again if you delete it,” the team said.

“If you see duplicate entries, we’re working with BlackBerry to determine the cause and a possible solution. Ensure your phone is up to date if you are running on an official software release.”
