The latest revision of the Bandicam recording software brings to the table several bug fixes and a couple of new options designed to improve both usability and functionality of the application.

Improvements added to this revision touch on the compression ratio using the H.264 encoder.

CUDA-powered captures now benefit from a new option that allows selecting the desired GPU device to be used.

The application also features the possibility to be minimized to system tray so that it can always be reached quickly.

Among the glitches addressed there is the problem with black screen appearing with “Rectangle on a screen” mode in Windows 8 on some mobile computers.

With some video files, seeking to a particular time would be problematic when using the H.264 (AMD APP) encoding engine. On the same note, on a dual-monitor setup, identifying the H.264 (Quick Sync Video) encoder would fail. Both these issues have been fixed.

Additional problems tackled by the developer refer to failure to assign hotkeys on some systems, incorrect calculation of the available recording space when changing the output storage location, and failure to stop recording when available space dropped under 30MB.
